Coon Dog Day

Coon Dog Day is real, people. It’s a summer festival in Saluda, NC that revolves entirely around hunting dogs that like the chase raccoons up trees. In other words, it’s one big party.

Here are some of my favorites from this year’s Coon Dog Day celebration.

Just wondering if you took any pictures of the parade. My son was Junior Prince and since we were on the float I didn’t get any pictures of him in it.

Sorry, I didn’t get many pictures of the parade this year. :(

I understand, just thought I would ask. Last year I found a girl that was sitting across from me, all of my pictures had our family in them, and mine had hers. The internet is amazing.

Those sodas in glass bottles look so refreshing and perfect for summer! I also love the shot of the cotton candy and caramel apple stand. You captured small town in the summer for sure!

Thanks, Lauren!

That seriously looks so fun and unique! I’m so glad you did a post on it – I love learning about traditions in other parts of the country!
