Dragon fruit (or Pitaya) is something I had never seen or eaten until my visit to China. It’s everywhere here! The inside is white and peppered with small black seeds, though the fruit is most recognizable by its outter scaly, blossom-like appearance. The flavor is mild and slighly sweet with a hint of tartness. The texture is similiar to that of a kiwi. Click here to see great dragon fruit pics and learn how to slice it.
