North Carolina Weekend

August 22, 2011

Welcome to the farm!

I write often about spending time in North Carolina on my fiance’s family farm. This weekend, we went down to take care of wedding details (less than two months to go!). Though it wasn’t the typical relaxing, restful weekend we usually enjoy, I did manage to find time to snap a few pictures.

It’s amazing to me how there’s always something new to photograph. I’ve visited dozens of times now and each time, I discover new beauty.

Even in the seemingly mundane.

I never tire of the animals who provide endless amusement.

Gem is such a sweet , old boy.

But this guy scares me!

Kitty was a bit camera shy.

But not Tiger Buddy, of course.

Like a queen perched on her throne- or maybe just a camera ham.

I’ve been spotted, here comes Jill in search of a head rub.

Who could resist?

Not me. Time for a photo break.

See you next time!

I gotta admit, I don’t consider myself much of a “farm girl” but a couple of days out in the country does the soul good :) Beautiful pictures! Wedding planning, how fun- we’re just about to begin planning ourselves!
