I just inhaled one of these before sitting down to type. So, I’m just a wee bit tipsy. And on a sugar high! Please bear with me.
Let me back up a bit. A week ago, my friend Jenny sent me a friendly, little care package with this beauty inside.
It’s cake. flavored. vodka!!!!! Of course, I knew right away I had to feature it on the blog. When brainstorming recipe ideas, I thought about how my soon to be mother-in-law always says she prefers to eat her calories rather than drink them. Nonsense I say! And, with my new cake flavored secret weapon, I set out to prove her wrong.
The thing about my sweet mother-in-law is that she has a serious weakness for cake. And ice cream. She’s not big on alcohol, but gets pretty worked up for a hunk of cake with a scoop of ice cream on top. I’m thinking a cake flavored vodka milkshake will have her happily slurping down those calories.
So, I set out to make my fancy, big girl milkshake and because I cook and photograph in the mornings and hate wasting food, I am tipsy at 10am. I suppose there are worse things to be than buzzing before noon.
Ingredients: (1 milkshake)
3 scoops vanilla bean ice cream
1 oz cake flavored vodka (or more- this stuff goes down nice and easy)
1/2 cup milk (more for a thinner shake)
whipped topping
sprinkles
Directions: Scoop the ice cream.
Pour in the vodka and milk.
Give it a good stir.
Coat the rim with sprinkles. Use a little melted ice cream to make them stick.
Add some whipped cream and more sprinkles. For a birthday occasion, add a candle.
Sure beats any birthday cake I ever ate.
Burp!

I’ve always been a fan of anything that has “cake batter” in the phrase. I even have cake batter chap stick. Everyone has told me that “I must have a sweet tooth, for liking something so sweet”, personally I just like the taste. I’m going to have to try this on payday. Now if you can also figure out how to make a cake batter martini, I’ll be more in love!
This looks amazing! I’m a huge fan of the Pinnacle Whipped, looks like I need to try the cake flavor too! You could prob even change the flavors of ice cream to get different cake flavors like chocolate! Yum!
Feel free to experiment!
When will Pinnacle be available in the Philippines? I’m a practicing bartender and the only brand of vodkas that are available in the country I come from are SKYY, Grey Goose, Stolichnaya, Smirnoff, Absolute, etc. If anyone here is from the Pinnacle company, kindly expand your business in the Asian region as soon as possible. I would like to make use of the regular Pinnacle vodka and all of the Pinnacle flavored vodkas.
I have been drinking the whipped for years. I mix it with diet tonic, since vodka has so many calories to being with, but this sounds simply sinful!!! I will have to try out on my next girls night!!
OMG! These are fantastic! My daughter had gotten a bottle of cake vodka for her birthday and we didn’t know what to do with it. Well, now we know!
I have used just Whipped Cream Vodka and added chocolate syrup. I also swirled the Chocolate Syrup in a martini glass and chilled it and poured in the shake and it was awesome! Enjoy!
Mmmm, that does sound good!
Wooo hooo brought some cookie dough Pinnacle vodka today… making shakes with it tomorrow….. come on over…
)
Yes, please!
I just tried this. OMG! It’s probably not good that I found something this rich and decadent and tastes soooo good. A sip of the vodka was good all by itself so in something like this, it is spectacular.
Repinned. It looks AMAZING!
Thanks lady! xoxo
I am totally going to have to give this a try, ASAP! Looks delicious!
I tried veganising this recipe & serving it in shot glasses, it went down a treat! Makes me want to have parties for no reason. ♥

Thanks.
Love that idea! Enjoy!
sounds so yummy, I got to try it!, Thanks!
this is a very tasty treat, but those of you with weak stomachs like mine, who cannot handle much sweets, please remember not to drink more than one in a night.
Wow! What an amazing looking drink! So glad you liked your care package
Thanks lady!
Wow a sweet way to get myself tipsy!!! looks so nice, wish I could have a glass of it right now. Love the photos

I just saw cake vodka in the liquor store for the first time a few days ago. I remember thinking, “Why the heck would anyone want cake flavored vodka”. Well, now I know. This sounds awesome, I would totally drink this.
Glad I could help you out!
I have seen these crazy delicious vodka flavors around, but haven’t tried them yet – mainly because I didn’t know exactly what to do with it! Love this idea!
I haven’t tried the cake vodka but I had whipped cream and loved it, so good! What an amazing way to use it.
I always wondered what to do with that stuff! It was too sweet for a drink, but a milkshake is perfect!
Have you tried the Whipped Cream flavored vodka from the same company? TO DIE FOR!!! Mix with orange soda or root beer or just drink on the rocks!! really!
Lori, I was going to comment the same thing! The cake flavor is excellent, but so is the Whipped! That stuff is dangerously easy to drink on the rocks…
YUM!
This looks great! I gotta agree with your MIL, I prefer to eat my calories than drink them, but I could make an exception for this
This is hilarious. If we make this at the next wine night, maybe my old married lady guests will stay past 9:30!
Deal!
WANT!!!!
LOL!
Talk about a party in a glass! I don’t drink, but this is a cocktail to be reckoned with!
You said it, lady! A party in a glass! Woo hoo!
Now this is something I can cook! xoxo
