Dairy Free Dessert

by Jennifer on May 30, 2009

I know a lot of people are on the dairy-free bandwagon these days. I am not, but I decided to see if I could create a flavorful and satisfying creamy, dairy-free dessert. It was a tall order, but I think I was pretty successful. You’ll have to try it for yourself!

In the blender: mix 1/3 cup coconut milk (regular or light- i used regular), artisana raw cacao bliss, a scoop of cocoa powder or chocoate syrup (if you want a strong chocolate flavor), and ice. It comes out as a frothy, creamy chocolate coconut smoothy. Very satisfying to the sweet tooth without being overly sugary. Serve with sliced almonds and coconut flakes on top.
