My boyfriend and I discovered this simple, quick and delicious dessert the other night and I just can’t get enough! We wanted something simple and sweet and natural so we decided on homemade apple sauce. We made a piping hot pot of stove top baked apples and served them with cold, creamy vanilla bean ice cream. But, I wanted something more…something richer. So, I added 1 tblsp of crunchy MaraNatha almond butter. The combination was divine. The nutty, thick, savory richness of the almond butter gave depth to the sticky sweetness of the ice cream and apples. It was like apple peanut butter pie a la mode in a bowl! You def have to try it!
