Triple Chocolate COOKIES!

by Jessica on January 22, 2009

As I have mentioned before, I am a HUGE fan of ellie krieger, the food network chef AND a lover of all cookies.  So, I could not wait to try ellie krieger’s recipe for triple chocolate cookies- a heavenly idea for a cookie.
I like to make it a habit of trying different chef’s recipes because it allows me to include their ideas and to adapt them to my liking.  This one really required no adapting.
This is the recipe on foodnetwork.com.  All I did was simply add only a few tablespoons of ghiradelli milk chocolate chips and WOW this cookie is amazing!!
Not only is it soft and chewy with a crunch on the outside- the cookies are only about 100 calories each (as calculated by ellie, I would NEVER trust myself to do the math).  Although there is some butter, all of the ingredients are whole and natural and you get the benefits of cocoa powder, which is a great source of antioxidants!
I have been enjoying one everyday as an after dinner treat and it’s great to be able to treat yourself with this cookie!
