Amazing Grass

The generous Amazing Grass company sent Jessica and I some samples of their products. They sent food bars, powdered meals, and smoothie supplements…oh yeah and super cute shaky containers that we love! I’ve had a chance to sample each of the products they sent and overall, I found them to be very good. The food bars were very similar to larabars-fruity, but not too sweet.

The drink supplements, wheat grass and green superfood, were great additions to my morning smoothie. Because wheat grass has a strong, grassy flavor that can taste a tad “too healthy”, I decided to incorporate this product into an orange juice based smoothie with added frozen fruit. It worked perfectly! I also found that the meal supplement powders worked well in this smoothie. However, the chocolate meal powder was a bit trickier. I used it in a milk based smoothie, but the flavor was somewhat chalky and difficult to choke down. I would recomment adding some coconut milk or yogurt and also maybe even a sweetner such as chocolate syrup or agave nectar. With the exception of the chocolate powder, I found Amazing Grass products to be delicious! In addition, they make you feel really healthy and satisfy hunger!

Thanks for the review! I’ve been very curious about Amazing Grass products. I bought their Pomegranate smoothie mix but haven’t used it yet.
