I have a confession to make. I used to have a dirty habit of drinking diet sodas! I still occasionally indulge- if I need a caffeine pick me up or when I go out to eat. But, I still have a yearning for a fizzy drink. My fruit fizzies definitely satisfy that soda craving for me!
I use less than 1/2 cup of juice and fill the rest of the glass or small cup up with selzer. They usually amount to about 50/60 calories per serving. You definitely have to make sure that you are using 100% juice with no sugar added. It takes careful label watching as some juices will try to trick you b/c no sugar added can sometimes mean fake sugar added!
My favorite new juice is white grape pomegranate juice by Welch’s. The calories are a good amount and it is made with 100% juice. It’s not too sweet and has great nutritional value. So go ahead and make your own fizzie
