Mona’s Granola

June 18, 2009

This morning I wanted to pump up Jennifer’s overnight oats with some tasty granola! I like granola because although its more calorie dense than cereals, I find that it keeps me fuller for longer.

Mona’s granola sent us some samples to try and I have to say, it is delicious! Mona’s original granola has been fresh baked since 1981 and contains whole grains, wheat germ, sunflower kernels, almonds and raisins.

I love that the granola is not very sweet and has the subtle flavor of vanilla. It is perfect to have with yogurt or paired with fruit, used in baked goods, etc. A 1/4 cup of the granola is only 140 calories with 7 grams of fat. 1/4 cup has only 7 grams of sugar and 3 grams of fiber! A great and healthy way to start your morning.

Mona’s is available in Publix stores and will be introducing two new flavors soon- can’t wait to try them! I’ll have to get my mom to ship this to me :)
