Have you tried Mixt Greens yet? Not long ago, one opened up a convenient walking distance from my work. I’ve tried it twice now without disappointment.
Mixt Greens is an up scale salad resto that serves “environmentally responsible food.” In other words, it’s a build-your-own salad bar where you choose the lettuce, the toppings, and the dressing. I especially love the lettuce selection. To sum it up briefly, it’s a much nicer, more delicious version of Chop’t. The best part about Mixt Greens (the aspect that really shines for me) is the commitment to environmental sustainability through use of local foods. Mixt Greens also uses recyclable and compostable serving and building materials. So, although it’s a small chain, it makes a big (but small) impact. Click here for locations.
