Seasonal Lattes

December 2, 2009

Jennifer and I LOVE Starbucks seasonal lattes. I admit it, I had to go at least once every two weeks to get the legendary pumpkin spice latte. There is nothing like that afternoon sugar rush! However, I’d love to be able to make my own at home to not only save money (lattes usually cost more than $4!) and with much less sugar. I always ask for only one pump per my grande coffee, but with some seasonal lattes, this is not doable like the yummy eggnog latte which uses a pre-made milk mix.

Chow just did a great feature on making seasonal lattes at home. Here is my favorite, the Vanilla-Gingerbread Latte. I can’t WAIT to try it! It looks relatively easy to do and would be perfect for sipping by my fireplace :) I think maybe this weekend, I’ll also experiment with a peppermint mocha latte? Now all I need is a festive Christmas mug!
