As some of you may know, Jennifer and I are lucky to work right by the White House and were thrilled to find out that Michelle Obama wanted to start a farmers market right by the White house, literally seconds away from our workplace. The farmers’ market will run each Thursday from 3 pm to 7 pm and feature pasture-raised meats, artisan cheeses, milk, yogurt, baked goods, breads, fresh fruit and veggies! Michelle Obama will be there today for the opening ceremony and the farmers market will run through October 29. If you work in the DC area near the Mcpherson Square subway stop, make sure to swing by to check out the goods, I will definitely be seeing it on my way home from work. Check for more details here.

I read about this sometime this week and was so jealous. Really made me wish I could be in DC. Not that Chicago farmers markets are bad by any means but to see how the white house does it or nearby at least would be interesting
I plan on stopping by after work too! Let’s hope the rain holds off
that is awesome!
How cool, look forward to hearing about it from y’all.
Wow, that is so cool! Such good eats!
Have fun!
Yet another reason I would love to live and work in Washington, DC. Can’t wait to read about/see pics of the market. Happy fruit & veggie shopping!
