No Pudge Brownies

by Jennifer on July 20, 2009

Ya’ll know that I love my chocolate! However, as I’m trying to eat healthy, I don’t want to blow it by making a whole batch of butter rich brownies. When I noticed No Pudge brownies box at Yes! Organic market the other day, I was willing to give it a try.

All you have to do is add yogurt to the mix and then pop in the oven for about 30 minutes and you have ooey gooey moist brownies. Obviously, these aren’t as rich as the real thing, but I think they are a fantastic way to treat yourself. Each serving is about 120 calories- depending on the yogurt you use and how big of a piece you get. I’d liken the serving size to a Vita-brownie- which is also one of my favorite lower-calorie desserts.

When I made them I used a vanilla low-fat yogurt as instructed by the box, but next time I will definitely use plain yogurt with added vanilla extract because they were a bit sweet for me. That being said, I LOVED the gooey texture and will definitely make these again.

Look for No Pudge at most grocery stores- I promise you that this will satisfy your brownie cravings!

What a great idea, I don’t think I’d be able to get them here though (Australia). I might try messing around with yoghurt in a regular brownie recipe.

I’m going to try this but Yes! Organic is the most expensive supermarket… ever.

thanks for the tip Lynn!

Jennifer- you are completely right. yes! is SUPER expensive, however, there are certain items there that I can’t find anywhere and must have! I try to keep it to a minimum though- but it can be difficult..

Is the NoPudge cheaper at Whole Foods (which would be shocking on its own, I know)
