If anyone ever visits Georgia, the Dekalb Farmer's Market is the place to go for decent bagels. As a former New Yorker these definitely fill a need. Good thing I don't live nearby as I would be in trouble keeping away from all of the wonderful breads and pastries there!

oh man, i sure do miss NY-style bagels! i try to get some when i go home to jersey, they just dont make them like that anywhere else!!! ive done some investigating and apparently the NY/NJ ones are all boiled not just baked, which makes a big difference in that outer, crispy crust. whatever it is, i love it!!!

Ooh that looks so good! I usually just have plain cream cheese, but I'll have to see if my WF carries some yummy flavors.

Yum. Anything with crystallized ginger is good. I love cream cheese with lots of brown sugar and/or honey. On the savory side, I like veggie cream cheese.
