Sweetgreen Fro Yo and Sweetflow Mobile

Today, my friend Scott and I were walking back to the office after lunch when we spotted the Sweetgreen fro yo mobile! Have you all seen this thing? It’s an adorably painted yellow and green van that basically looks like an ice cream truck for adults. I’d never seen the van before, but am familiar with the Sweetgreen restaurant in Georgetown (uber adorable little cottage/resto that boasts fresh, healthy, sustainable eats). So, we walked over to it and got more info from the Sweetgreen rep inside. It turns out that the van is called the Sweetflow mobile and the vender inside sells fro yo made from Stoneyfield organic yogurt. The yogurt is only $2 for a cone (which you can see is a generous size) and just a couple bucks more for yogurt in a cup with a variety of toppings. Scott went for the cone while I savored a free sample. The yogurt was delicious! It tasted just like actual frozen, healthy, plain yogurt-not too sweet or too tart. So much better than any fro yo I’ve tasted so far. If you see this van around town, run over and ask for a free sample!

Sweetflow Mobile is an environmentally-conscious frozen yogurt truck
from Sweetgreen. It is uniquely engineered to run without a generator,
thus significantly reducing the amount of fuel consumed. Just like
our stores, we use 100% compostable packaging and local/organic
ingredients & toppings. Catch us in your neighborhood soon and stay
tuned for the site launch.

I’m not sure where the sweetflow mobile is usually parked, but we were at the corner of 17 and L, NW.
