Hi, lady, it's Becky! Will definitely have to try the oat bran. We've made steel cut oats this way a few times and it's awesome...you set it up the night before and in the am it just take 10 min. This amount makes a ton, enough that I put several servings in tupperware to take to work to heat up later in the week! http://thebittenword.typepad.com/thebittenword/2009/01/overnight-oatmeal-quick-cook-steelcut-oats-in-10-minutes.html

Stacy! Welcome to Keepitsimplfoods! We are happy to have you as a new reader. So glad you liked the oats post. I am an oats newbie so I'm still experimenting to find what I like. I made my oats on the stove top with water and then added toppings after. I haven't tried many of the more "advanced" versions that require blenders and the fixins.

Hi there-Came over from katheats and have found your blog to be amazing!

I love Oat Bran! My boyfriend make it every morning, I'm curious how you made yours? For one serving I boil 1 cup fat free milk 1 cup water and 1/2 cup of oat bran, I usually always add honey and depending on the season some fruit during the cooking process!

I just bought some oat bran today. I didn't realize it cooked so quickly. Definitely need to try it!

That raw honey in your yogurt/cereal post looks wonderful.
