Cilantro Tequila Lemonade

Let’s cool off a bit.

I’m about to head out of town for a long, lazy week in the mountains with the family. I could not be happier about this. As the summer days grow longer and hotter, I find myself craving all things cool and refreshing. Like this lemonade.

It’s as sassy as my blueberry vodka lemonade, with a bit more sophistication and zip. Like a tequila version of a mojito. I can’t wait for one of these on the porch with a magazine and a dog at my feet.

Ingredients:
a small bunch of cilantro, minced (save some for garnish)
sugar
ice
tequila
lemonade
seltzer
lemons, sliced (save some for garnish)

Directions: First, sugar the rim of your cocktail glass. Do this by wiping the rim with a moist paper towel (or a bit of tequila!) and dip into the sugar.

Add ice and one part tequila.

And a splash of seltzer and two parts lemonade.

I am *so* going to use my Cilantro to try this out. Would it be good with any other herbs, I wonder?

Just wanted to say thanks for always posting such well-designed and properly explained recipes–oh, and for all of the pictures of the process! ^.^
